Interning is hard. You have to get a resume, a cover letter and more experience so that the internship is yours. You are a nervous wreck while waiting for the response of whether or not you got the internship. If you do end up getting the internship, you do not know how you are going to get treated. There are so many things to do to prepare, which makes it hard to know where to start.

Landis Elliott, Estrella Mountain Community College’s Internship Manager, has a lot on her plate. She helps students gain experience by finding internship opportunities for them that provide valuable career experience while students are still in college.
Elliott attended Northern Arizona University and earned an Undergraduate Degree in Small Business Management as well as a Master’s in Business. She started working at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) with the Workforce Development Department where she saw a need to help students develop their career skills.
