Being in a community college is one of the safest, most sheltered methods of attending college in today’s society. Community colleges are places that anyone and everyone in one’s community can attend, and it is easy to feel right at home on small, tight-knit campuses.

Viva PHX, downtown Phoenix’s Annual Music Festival is set to happen Saturday, March 14th. The festival features more than 80 different band performances, with music of numerous genres. This year Andrew W.K., Coolio, indie favorites Andrew Jackson Jihad, and Twin Shadow are some of the earliest confirmed performers. The festival links twenty different venues together in downtown Phoenix, including a pop-up stage at Cityscape in the heart of downtown Phoenix, and downtown staples Bar Smith, and Crescent Ballroom.

Arizona Lawmakers Want to Block Common Core

The Common Core education standards, which were a major topic in Arizona’s 2014 elections, are now being attacked in a new bill passed by the Arizona House Education Committee. The major source of Common Core’s controversy has been the federal nature of the requirements, and the new bill, HB2190, attempts to give Arizona more rights to its education requirements, including the prevention of future adoption of any education requirements that are similar to twenty other states’ requirements.

Goodyear, Arizona has grown in leaps and bounds in the last few years. There are a wide variety of shopping, schools, restaurants, and parks. You could say that Goodyear has it all, but that wouldn’t exactly be true. One thing that is missing in the area is a place to get Italian ice.

Hanna’s Original Italian Ice has come to the rescue.
