Ever Dreamed of Being a Disney Character? This Could Be Your Chance!

People 18 or older and willing to relocate to Orlando can audition to become a full-time character at Disney. The company is recruiting character performers, Disney character look-alikes, parade performers, musicians and stunt actors.

Sign-in for the auditions is 10 a.m. March 10 at Dance 111, 4910 E. Chandler Blvd., Chandler. Make note that late applicants will not be accepted.

Big Names in Stand-up Comedy visit Arizona

Beating the heat is something much appreciated here in Arizona. I know I am always trying to find some entertainment that will keep me indoors without me feeling like a lazy bum for lying in the house all day.

Luckily for us, recently we have witnessed more live entertainment opportunities.  While concerts get most of the attention, I think stand-up comedy is underrated.  Standup involves comedians telling stories about their lives, and the world around them. Some shows may even involve other elements as well, such as props or music.

Leonardo DaVinci's Codex Leicester on View at Phoenix Art Museum

Currently on view at the Phoenix Art Museum until April 12th, is Leonardo DaVinci’s Codex Leicester. The Codex Leicester is an 18 page double-sided, double-page manuscript that consists of Leonardo DaVinci’s personal thoughts and observations on astronomy, engineering, and science, and includes illustrations as well as his writing on the subjects.
